Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Luca Cambiaso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work Samson Tearing Down The Columns Of The Temple sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,013.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Cambiaso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A 'Sacra Conversazione': The Madonna And Child With Saints Paul And Augustine, A Putto Reading At Their Feet in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,027,779.74).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A 'Sacra Conversazione': The Madonna And Child With Saints Paul And Augustine, A Putto Reading At Their Feet im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 692.000,00 (€ 1.027.779,74).
