This artwork by Luca Cambiaso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2016. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work A seated warrior sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,654.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Cambiaso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A 'Sacra Conversazione': The Madonna And Child With Saints Paul And Augustine, A Putto Reading At Their Feet in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,027,779.74).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Cambiaso erzielen.
