Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Lu Zhi. The price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,909.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Zhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The South Marsh in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,625,000.00 (€ 625,442.99).
