Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lu Qiguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,039.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lu Qiguang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,267.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Qiguang erzielte im September 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.039,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lu Qiguang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.267,78).
