Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lu Qiguang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script changed hands for HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,440.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Qiguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,267.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Qiguang konnte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 21.250,00 (€ 2.440,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Qiguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.267,78) versteigert wurde.
