Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lu Peng could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART auction, the work Leaving the Garden of Dreams changed hands for HKD 35,000.00 (€ 4,020.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Peng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goldfishes, which sold at auction in March 2015 for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 11,259.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Peng konnte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART wechselte die Arbeit Leaving the Garden of Dreams für HKD 35.000,00 (€ 4.020,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Peng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Goldfishes beobachtet, die im März 2015 für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 11.259,43) versteigert wurde.
