Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird by Lu Kunfeng was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 4,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,420.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Kunfeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bamboo, Rocks And Orchids in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,626.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird von Lu Kunfeng kam im März 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 4.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.420,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Kunfeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bamboo, Rocks And Orchids im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.626,74).
