First scroll signed by the artist: Shunjian Lu Huancheng, xieyu xihu zhi Jingyuan Tang (Lu Huancheng of Shunjiang painting this at the Jingyaun Hall in West Lake)

A top price for Lu Huancheng
This artwork by Lu Huancheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Spring In The Han Palace sold for HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 503,307.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00. This high result makes Spring In The Han Palace the most expensive artwork by Lu Huancheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
