Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury by Louise Rayner was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 15,097.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Rayner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watergate Street, Chester, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury von Louise Rayner kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 15.097,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Rayner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56) versteigert wurde.
