Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louise Rayner could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Paintings auction, the work The Prentice Pillar changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,949.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Rayner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watergate Street, Chester in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Rayner konnte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British & Continental Paintings wechselte die Arbeit The Prentice Pillar für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.949,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Rayner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56).
