Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Times Remembered; At the Show by Louise Mansfield was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 336.00 (€ 494.45). Admittedly, works by Louise Mansfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The final furlong in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,472.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Times Remembered; At the Show von Louise Mansfield im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 336,00 (€ 494,45) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Mansfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The final furlong im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.472,23).
