Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The Cattle Market by Louise Mansfield for GBP 660.00 (€ 971.23). This price was achieved in the auction The Irish Sale Part II at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Mansfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The final furlong, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,472.23).
