In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale Part II, which included the work The final furlong by Louise Mansfield. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,472.23). With this result, The final furlong is even the most expensive work of art by Louise Mansfield that we have observed at auctions so far.
