It achieved a price of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 11,058.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Louis Wain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Come Birdie Come and Live with Me in November this year with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 44,497.25).

Die Arbeit Jacksons' Always Score von Louis Wain kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 11.058,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Wain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Come Birdie Come and Live with Me im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 44.497,25).
