Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work A Dutch smalschip running into the estuary by Louis Verboeckhoven. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,972.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Verboeckhoven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 76,375.00 (€ 36,709.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch smalschip running into the estuary von Louis Verboeckhoven zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.314,50 (€ 1.972,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Verboeckhoven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 76.375,00 (€ 36.709,39).
