Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of the sculptor Jean-Louis Lemoyne (1665-1755), bust-length, in a red jacket by Louis Tocqué was sold in the Old Master Paintings from the Lagerfeld Collection auction at Christies in New York in May 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,600.00 (€ 40,308.75). Admittedly, works by Louis Tocqué have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Louis Philippe Joseph, Duc D'Orleans And Duc De Chartres in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 218,500.00 (€ 167,394.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of the sculptor Jean-Louis Lemoyne (1665-1755), bust-length, in a red jacket von Louis Tocqué wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings from the Lagerfeld Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.600,00 (€ 40.308,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Tocqué auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Louis Philippe Joseph, Duc D'Orleans And Duc De Chartres im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 167.394,47).
