Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Hengelaar - Angler by Louis Schrikkel for EUR 812.50. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Schrikkel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Oversteek Brompton Road in June 2000 with an auction result of NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hengelaar - Angler von Louis Schrikkel für EUR 812,50 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Schrikkel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Oversteek Brompton Road im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82).
