Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Godzone: Beach Group, 1967 by Louis Robert James. The price achieved of AUD 9,225.00 (€ 5,593.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Louis Robert James have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2002 the work Red Night was auctioned for AUD 11,750.00 (€ 6,584.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Godzone: Beach Group, 1967 von Louis Robert James zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 9.225,00 (€ 5.593,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Louis Robert James konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2002 die Arbeit Red Night für AUD 11.750,00 (€ 6.584,36) versteigert.
