In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Mary, Countess Of Cork , Née Boyle by Louis Marie Sicardi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,920.71), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Marie Sicardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A girl called Mademoiselle Victorine de Chastenay-Lanty, full face in white dress with laced green bodice and fichu, posy of forget-me-nots pinned at corsage, forget-me-nots, blue ribbon and large straw hat in her long powdered curled hair dressed à, which sold at auction in April 2002 for GBP 15,275.00 (€ 24,714.5
