Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Whitehall by Louis Grimshaw was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2016. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,209.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Grimshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Royal Mile, Edinburgh: the approach to Holyrood Palace, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 60,945.00 (€ 90,704.41).

Die Arbeit Whitehall von Louis Grimshaw kam im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.209,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
