The price achieved of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis-Gabriel Blanchet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of The Artist Giovanni Paolo Panini (1691–1765) in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 291,113.00).
