Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of Charles Claude De Flahault De La Billarderie, Comte D'Angiviller, Three-Quarter Length, With A Child Holding A Basket Of Flowers by Louis-Gabriel Blanchet was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,309.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Gabriel Blanchet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of The Artist Giovanni Paolo Panini (1691–1765) in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 291,113.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of Charles Claude De Flahault De La Billarderie, Comte D'Angiviller, Three-Quarter Length, With A Child Holding A Basket Of Flowers von Louis-Gabriel Blanchet im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.309,82) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Gabriel Blanchet erzielen.
