However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Dodd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Charleston built frigate John Adams with the American fleet on the Guadeloupe station under Commodore Truxtun at Basseterre, St. Christoper's and Nevis, Leeward Islands, West Indies, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,026.25).
