In September 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Mountain Stream by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The »bidding war« ended at USD 38,240.00 (€ 30,796.49), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Comfort Tiffany - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Florida, which sold at auction in March 2005 for USD 156,000.00 (€ 120,286.84).

Im September 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Stream von Louis Comfort Tiffany zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 30.796,49) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Comfort Tiffany mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Florida beobachtet, die im März 2005 für USD 156.000,00 (€ 120.286,84) versteigert wurde.
