Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work The Alhambra, Granada (after Henri Regnault) by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,120.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Comfort Tiffany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florida in March 2005 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 120,286.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Alhambra, Granada (after Henri Regnault) von Louis Comfort Tiffany zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.120,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Comfort Tiffany erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florida im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 120.286,84).
