Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre - 1991 by Louis Cane was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,674.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Cane achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toile Sol/Mur - 1973 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 84,010.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre - 1991 von Louis Cane wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.674,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Cane erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toile Sol/Mur - 1973 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.010,00.
