Auction result fails to reach estimate
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Maria Bebudelse”, 1982 by Louis Cane for DKK 12,000.00 (€ 1,607.87). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 15,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Cane achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toile Sol/Mur - 1973 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 84,010.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Maria Bebudelse”, 1982 von Louis Cane für DKK 12.000,00 (€ 1.607,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Cane erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toile Sol/Mur - 1973 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.010,00.
