Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French The Copyists In The Musée Du Louvre by Louis Béroud. The price achieved of USD 28,600.00 (€ 18,371.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Béroud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frenchles Joies De L'Inondation (Dans La Galerie Médicis) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 350,500.00 (€ 260,536.68).

Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French The Copyists In The Musée Du Louvre von Louis Béroud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.600,00 (€ 18.371,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Béroud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frenchles Joies De L'Inondation (Dans La Galerie Médicis) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.500,00 (€ 260.536,68).
