Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Alfred Stieglitz, New York, 1938 by Lotte Jacobi for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,559.64). This price was achieved in the auction MoMA: Women in Photography at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lotte Jacobi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Photogenic, c.1950s in October this year with an auction result of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,538.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Alfred Stieglitz, New York, 1938 von Lotte Jacobi für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.559,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MoMA: Women in Photography bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lotte Jacobi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Photogenic, c.1950s im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.538,23).
