Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 516.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorna Simpson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day For Night in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 375,000.00 (€ 321,336.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit III (Peter Norton Family Christmas Project). von Lorna Simpson wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion From Beuys to Warhol | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 516,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorna Simpson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day For Night im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 375.000,00 (€ 321.336,76).
