Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Young Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Black With A White Collar by Lorenzo Lippi for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorenzo Lippi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Consul Gaius Popillius drawing a circle around King Antiochus IV in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 145,789.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Black With A White Collar von Lorenzo Lippi für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.342,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorenzo Lippi erzielen.
