Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figure nel bosco by Lorenzo Gignous was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 350.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorenzo Gignous achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lago di Baveno in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 14,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figure nel bosco von Lorenzo Gignous im Juni 2021 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 350,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorenzo Gignous erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lago di Baveno im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.880,00.
