Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lorenzo De Ferrari could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Adam And Eve With The Infants Cain And Abel changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,602.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Lorenzo De Ferrari have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2011 by the work Adorazione Dei Pastori at EUR 48,750.00.
