Despite a disappointment, a good price for Loren MacIver
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Moonlight by Loren MacIver for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,197.61). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Moonlight is the most expensive artwork by Loren MacIver that we have observed at auction so far.
