Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 992.86). Admittedly, works by Paul Ayshford Methuen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining nude in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Catherine Place, Bath von Paul Ayshford Methuen kam im Juli 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 875,00 (€ 992,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Ayshford Methuen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining nude im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
