In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I, which included the work Roses and paintings in an interior by Paul Ayshford Methuen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,539.87), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Ayshford Methuen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining nude, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses and paintings in an interior von Paul Ayshford Methuen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.539,87) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Ayshford Methuen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining nude beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07) versteigert wurde.
