In May this year Bonhams held the auction Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze, which included the work The DNA of Chinese Painting Series, Landscape: Conversation with Mountain Huang Series, The Crystallized Mountain Huang in Snowy Dusk, 1999 by Lo Ch'ing. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,933.88), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lo Ch'ing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sun also Rises, 2016, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,609.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze durch, in der auch die Arbeit The DNA of Chinese Painting Series, Landscape: Conversation with Mountain Huang Series, The Crystallized Mountain Huang in Snowy Dusk, 1999 von Lo Ch'ing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.933,88) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lo Ch'ing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sun also Rises, 2016 beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.609,50) versteigert wurde.
