The price achieved of AUD 5,535.00 (€ 3,302.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lloyd Rees achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian The Morning Ferry in November 2009 with an auction result of AUD 240,000.00 (€ 146,346.54).
