Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Liu Yazi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,087.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Yazi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seven - Character Poem In Running Script in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 413,000.00 (€ 43,578.10).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Liu Yazi wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.087,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Yazi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seven - Character Poem In Running Script im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 413.000,00 (€ 43.578,10).
