Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings, which included the work Autumn Mountain by Liu Yanshui. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 120,000.00 (€ 11,637.13), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Yanshui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 23,439.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Mountain von Liu Yanshui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 120.000,00 (€ 11.637,13) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Yanshui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 23.439,02) versteigert wurde.
