Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Village by Liu Maoshan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,676.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Maoshan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Scenery of a River Village, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,763.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Village von Liu Maoshan wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.676,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Maoshan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Scenery of a River Village beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.763,85) versteigert wurde.
