Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Scholar Playing Qin by Liu Lingcang. The price achieved of HKD 22,950.00 (€ 2,446.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Lingcang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 34,463.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholar Playing Qin von Liu Lingcang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.950,00 (€ 2.446,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Lingcang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 34.463,87).
