Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II, which included the work Lady, 1931 by Liu Lingcang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,837.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Lingcang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 34,463.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady, 1931 von Liu Lingcang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.837,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Lingcang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 34.463,87).
