Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riverscene by Liu Kang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,520.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riverscene von Liu Kang kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.520,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
