Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchids by Liu Kang was sold in the Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. The price achieved of HKD 35,625.00 (€ 4,195.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchids von Liu Kang wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.625,00 (€ 4.195,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
