Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lake In China by Liu Kang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,342.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lake In China von Liu Kang kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.342,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
