Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kampong Scene by Liu Kang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,347.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Kang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kampong Scene von Liu Kang kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.347,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
