Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Corner of Joy by Liu Jia was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,603.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peek-A-Boo in April this year with an auction result of HKD 72,000.00 (€ 73,526.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Corner of Joy von Liu Jia wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.603,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peek-A-Boo im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 73.526,09).
