In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II, which included the work Seven Horses by Liu Boshu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,026.65), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Boshu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Galloping Horse sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of HKD 57,500.00 (€ 6,645.31).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven Horses von Liu Boshu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.026,65) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Boshu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Galloping Horse im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 57.500,00 (€ 6.645,31).
