In October 2019 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Two Foxes Under the Pine Tree by Liu Bin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 12,750.00 (€ 1,457.31), 59% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Bin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 64,900.00 (€ 7,501.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Foxes Under the Pine Tree von Liu Bin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 12.750,00 (€ 1.457,31) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Bin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 64.900,00 (€ 7.501,24).
